Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Checkpoint ("the App") at checkpoint.aries.training, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. The App is operated by Aries Training ("we", "us", "our").

2. Description of Service

Checkpoint is a web-based field operations platform designed for managing startup reports, quality control checklists, job management, and related field service workflows. The App includes an AI-powered assistant ("Aries Assistant") that uses the Google Gemini API to help users complete forms and navigate the application.

3. Accounts & Registration

• You must register for an account to use the App. You may register with an email and password, or sign in using your Google account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration.
• You must be at least 18 years old to use the App.

4. Google Sign-In & AI Assistant

• If you choose to sign in with Google, you authorize the App to access your basic profile information (name, email) and to use the Google Gemini API on your behalf via the generative-language.peruserquota OAuth scope.
• The Aries Assistant uses Google Gemini to process your requests. AI-generated responses are provided as-is and should be reviewed before submission of any reports or checklists.
• You may revoke Google access at any time through your Google Account permissions.
• We comply with Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, its servers, or any related systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's operation or other users' access.
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent data through the App.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App — including its design, code, logos, and documentation — are owned by Aries Training and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the App without our written permission.

7. User Data & Content

• You retain ownership of the field service data and content you submit through the App.
• By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the service.
• Our handling of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy.

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep the App available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AI-generated content from the Aries Assistant is provided as a convenience and may contain errors. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all report and checklist data before submission.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aries Training shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from your use of the App.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at our discretion, with or without cause or notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the appropriate courts.
